PocketDex is operated by Getton Strategic Development Solutions Inc ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use PocketDex, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and sign-in details (email/password or Google sign-in).
- Contacts and events you add: names, companies, roles, emails, phone numbers, tags, notes, follow-up history, and event details.
- Photos you upload: name badges, business cards, or screenshots you scan to create contacts.
- Purchase records: when you buy Lifetime access, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details. We never see or store your full card number; we keep a record of the purchase, amount, and status.
- Basic technical data: information needed to keep the service running and secure, such as error reports.
How we use AI
When you scan an image, request a contact summary, or draft a follow-up message, the relevant image or text is sent to an AI model to produce the result. It is processed only to provide that feature and is not used by us to train AI models. Always review AI results before relying on them.
How we use your information
- To provide PocketDex features: storing contacts, scanning, summaries, follow-up drafts, and CSV import/export.
- To process purchases, refunds, and disputes.
- To send account emails such as sign-up confirmation, password resets, and account-deletion codes.
- To protect the service against abuse and keep it secure.
We do not sell your personal information or the contacts you store.
Who can see your data
Your contacts and events are private to your account and protected so other users cannot access them. We share data only with service providers that help us run PocketDex (hosting, AI processing, payments, and email), or when required by law.
Your choices
- Edit or delete contacts and events at any time.
- Export your contacts as a CSV file from the app.
- Permanently delete your account from Settings. This removes your profile, contacts, events, and uploaded photos. Purchase records may be kept, separated from your account, where required for accounting and legal purposes.
Security and retention
We use encryption in transit, per-account access protections, and breached-password checks. We keep your data while your account is active and delete it when you delete your account.
Children
PocketDex is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email.
